“Nami Enterprises was retained
by our company to create and implement cross-cultural
information seminars for our Japanese and American employees.
Ms. Okamoto dispelled cultural myths and bridged a gap
in the communication between our culturally diverse
employees. As a result, our employees have developed
a closer working relationship due to a better understanding
of the team members’ cultural dynamics. This has
created a more open and efficient work environment for
our employees, customers, friends and families.
As Vice President of Human Resources for Mitsubishi
Power Systems Inc., it is my pleasure to recommend the
services of Nami Enterprises and Ms. Christine Okamoto.”

"In 1998, I was in charge of our company’s ski boat project (Lexus engine equipped) in Orlando, Florida. Our staff for this project consisted of four Japanese employees assigned from Japan and twenty American employees hired locally. This diverse mix of personnel was the source of constant turmoil, as various misunderstandings and miscommunications were brought on by inherent differences in language and ways of thinking.
That is when I asked Nami Enterprises to step in and provide Cross Cultural Training to both my Japanese staff and my American staff. Nami’s approach to training, from the interactive round table classroom style to the use of specific examples in explaining differences in Japanese and American history, cultural background, and business philosophy, was extremely practical, and it unquestionably played an integral part in bridging the gaps that existed between my Japanese and American staff.
Beginning in 2002, I have been in charge of market research for a brand new technology: fuel cells. I have continued to utilize Nami Enterprises in this discipline for translating technical documents (both from English to Japanese and Japanese to English), and I have been consistently satisfied by the unparalleled speed and accuracy of their work.
Ms. Christine Okamoto, Nami’s president, has many years of experience living abroad, including Singapore, Colombia, and Japan. These experiences have allowed her to develop a deep understanding of cultural diversity. Her explanations and observations regarding cross-cultural awareness are based on her actual experiences, and are full of significant tips for improvement and solutions to problems. Moreover, her translations are always precise, accurate and tremendously reliable.
I will continue to regard Nami Enterprises as an important business partner, and I look forward to our future collaborations over the years to come."
