This course introduces the profession of interpreting from the insider’s perspective. This is a hands-on, interactive seminar, with opportunities for real practice. Group size is limited so that each student receives personal attention. At the end of the day, instructors are available for individual consultation, by appointment. Fee per person: $199.00

Many bilingual people would like to enter the profession but don’t know how to go about it, or what the career actually entails. In this one-day course, experienced professionals with an in-depth knowledge of the business not only explain what you need to know and how to go about it, but also provide hands-on practice and training. You will learn:
- What it takes to be a good interpreter
- How to sharpen your language, business and interpersonal skills
- Strategies for career development
- Your own strengths and weaknesses, and where to go from here
